With our encouragement and guidance Prinsy’s Tours decided to enter into the Hawke’s Bay Tourism Awards in 2017. They had recently hit some significant marketing milestones, including launching a new website, logo and developing a new tour offering, and were receiving consistently glowing visitor reviews.
We helped them through the application process to ensure the judges heard their story, and used their marketing achievements to showcase the great work they were doing. Prinsy’s Tours were stoked to win the Visitor Experience Award in the Small Business category, and it was a joy to see them achieve this.
Come 2018 the Prinsy’s team had taken learnings from last year’s awards as well as their Qualmark process, so decided to enter again. Jodi from InHouse helped them get clear about their messaging in their application again (although they didn’t need much help this time!), and we saw them win in the Visitor Experience category again – plus were Runner Up in the sought-after Essence of Hawke’s Bay award.
Win or lose, entering an award like the Hawke’s Bay Tourism Awards is a fantastic opportunity to take a look at your business through the lens of your industry peers. Many winners have entered at least once before, and taken learnings to directly improve their business, and enter again. And of course winning offers a money-can’t-buy platform for business recognition, marketing and growth.
