One of our most engaging Brand Marketing projects in recent times – pun intended! Ben & Megan from Top Blokes and John from Macaroni Media came to us in 2017 as they were wanting to merge their two video production businesses together and needed some help figuring out the best way to do it.
It became clear early on that the best way to get started was with one of our Brand Strategy Workshops, to help them focus their thoughts and make the right decisions. As with every business we work with at InHouse Marketing we were able to tailor the workshops to ensure they delivered the outcomes they needed. For Ben, Megan and John this consisted of:
- 2 x 3 hour brand marketing workshops, held in the evenings once they had finished work
- A user-friendly Brand Strategy Building Blocks Report to help them formulate more specific business and marketing plans into the future
We often get asked what’s in the Workshop and what do you actually get out of it, so for your interest:
- Workshop 1 focused on understanding the environment they operated in, who their competitors are, what the needs of their target customers were, their current internal strengths and weaknesses, and what opportunities and threats they needed to plan for.
- Workshop 2 focused on the future, their vision, values, goals, brand positioning and personality that would differentiate them in the market.
At the conclusion of the workshops they had a clear understanding of the direction they wanted to take, and armed with their Brand Strategy Building Blocks Report they were able to approach Coast and Co., a Hawke’s Bay design agency, and get started on the creation of their new brand logo.
Then, voila! Engage Video Creations launched in November 2017 and are now creating stunning and engaging videos for their clients. For us it is so rewarding to see this new brand come to life and we are sure they will go from strength to strength as they have a solid strategy behind everything they are doing.
