The Hawke’s Bay Tourism Industry Conference and Awards Celebration have been a fixture on the industry’s calendar since 2007. Megan was instrumental in setting up, managing and marketing the inaugural Hawke’s Bay Regional Tourism Conference and those that followed until 2013.
Guest speakers over the years have included Ministers of Tourism, Mayors, Tourism New Zealand and Air NZ CEO’s along with Rod Oram, Rob Waddell and a whole raft of other distinguished and notable speakers.
In 2011 the Hawkes’ Bay Tourism Awards were added to the celebration of all things tourism in the Bay and Megan ran these awards, managing entries, judging and organising the Awards evening event until 2013. Now in their 6th year, the Awards themselves are a well-respected regional accolade for the businesses who enter.
